Magellan Geese pairs make a striking couple. Males have a white head, neck, and breast a short, black beak, and black legs and beak. Their underparts are barred with black. Adult males have a range of color phases, with underparts ranging from completely white to barred or blotched with black and white. Female Magellan Geese are brown with black-striped wings and yellow feet. The color of her head ranges from a reddish to dull-grey cinnamon.
