The American Widgeon is a medium-sized bird. The breeding male dons an overall silvery-pink color with a mask of iridescent green feathers and a cream-colored cap running from the crown of its head to its bill. The females have primarily gray and brown plumage. Both sexes have a pale-blue bill with a black tip, a white belly, and gray legs and feet. American Widgeons are hardy birds that are easy to keep in captivity. This lovely pair will add color and charm to your aviary.
